What is LAID BARE?

LAID BARE is a Substack about sex, relationships and sexual culture for the overanalysers, overthinkers, fanatics and freaks.

I’ll dissect how the biggest news stories are trickling into the most intimate parts of our lives — how climate change is impacting our libidos; why men are using ChatGPT for relationship advice; how eye-watering New York City rent prices has got 87-year-olds relaunching their careers on OnlyFans.

Who am I?

I’m a writer, reporter and photographer who is obsessed with telling stories that illuminate who we are and what we desire. That’s taken me everywhere from the Satanic Temple’s abortion clinic in New Mexico to BDSM blindfold-makers in Jaipur to an AI sex doll brothel in Berlin.

My writing has been published in the likes of The New York Times, The Guardian, Vogue, VICE, i-D, Cosmopolitan, Women’s Health, Men’s Health, The Face (and more), including a number of investigative pieces, spanning the troubled teen industry and the murky world of unknowing victims of sexual assault.
